Welcome to Seldo. Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App").
By using Seldo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
2. Who We Are
Seldo is a productivity application designed to help you manage tasks, track goals, and build consistent work habits through AI-powered guidance.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Personal details and preferences: Information you share during onboarding and in settings, such as your name, age, work habits, and other details used to personalize your experience
- Content you create: Messages you send to the AI, tasks, goals, and reminders
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
We don't collect your email. We don't require an account. We don't run ads. We don't track you across other apps or websites. Here's what we do collect, and why:
- Device and subscription info: A unique device identifier and your App Store subscription details, used to maintain your data and manage your plan — no account or email required
- Session Identifier: A unique identifier for each conversation session
- Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including feature usage and timestamps
- Diagnostic Data: Crash reports and performance information collected through Apple's standard analytics
- Technical and security logs: API performance metrics, token usage, response times, error reports, and records of AI exchanges used to detect misuse and debug unexpected behavior. These are operational server logs, not a stored history of your conversations. Identifying information is removed automatically after 30 days and the logs are deleted after one year.
3.3 Information Stored Locally
Your tasks, goals, and personal settings are primarily stored on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you interact with our AI assistant.
3.4 Device Backups
If you use iCloud or iTunes backup, your locally stored App data may be included in your device backup. This backup data is governed by Apple's privacy practices and your device settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the App's features
- Enable AI-powered productivity assistance and personalized suggestions
- Process and manage your subscription
- Develop and improve our services and AI capabilities
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your information with the following categories of service providers:
6.1 AI Service Providers
To power our AI assistant, we send your chat messages to third-party AI providers. These providers may include:
- OpenAI
- Google Cloud AI
- Anthropic
- Mistral AI
Your conversations are processed by these providers to generate AI responses. What they receive: your messages and some context about your goals and preferences, so the AI can actually know you. What they never receive: your device ID, subscription details, or billing information. These providers process data according to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Important: These third-party AI providers may use data sent to them according to their own terms and policies. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. We do not control how these providers handle data once transmitted to them.
6.2 Apple
We use Apple's services for:
- Subscription management and payment processing through the App Store
- App analytics and crash reporting
Apple processes this data according to their privacy policy.
6.3 Hosting Providers
Our servers are hosted by third-party infrastructure providers. These providers have access to data stored on our servers as necessary to provide hosting services.
6.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
6.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7. Data Retention
Identifying information is removed from our logs within 30 days. Full records are deleted after one year. This runs daily, without you having to ask.
Subscription and billing records are retained as required for financial compliance, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. This information may be retained indefinitely.
How Deletion Works
Device data stored locally can be removed at any time by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of data linked to your device on our servers, email support@seldo.app. We will respond within 30 days. Billing records may be retained for compliance purposes as permitted by law.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard protocols
- Access controls and authentication procedures
- Regular security assessments
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

We will respond to your request within 30 days.
9.5 Complaints

10. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in the United States and the European Union. Depending on your location, your information may be stored and processed in either region.
For users in the EEA, data processed within EU servers remains subject to GDPR protections. Where data is transferred to the United States, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not use cookies. We use Apple's standard analytics for basic usage metrics and crash reporting. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.
The App does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as this is a mobile application that does not track users across third-party websites.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

We will never sell your data. We will never use it to show you ads. If we ever need to make a significant change to how we handle your information, we'll tell you before it happens.
